Robert W. Lazzaro attended Washington College where he earned a B.A. degree with honors in Political Science. He attended the University of Baltimore School Of Law and graduated first in his class (evening division). He was admitted to the Bar in Maryland in 1978 and began his career as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Baltimore County where he successfully prosecuted thousands of cases. Robert W. Lazzaro is an experienced litigator having been a trial lawyer for thirty-five years. He was Chief of the Sexual Offense and Child Abuse Unit for five years before embarking in the private practice of law. As a prosecutor, Mr. Lazzaro tried numerous murder, rape, child abuse, armed robbery, burglary cases as well as countless serious criminal matters.

In the private practice of law Mr. Lazzaro has concentrated on the family law area which includes serious divorce and custody cases. He has continued to successfully represent clients charged with serious felonies as well as misdemeanors and many traffic charges. He has also represented numerous clients who have suffered bodily injuries in automobiles and other types of accidents.

Mr. Lazzaro was President of the Baltimore County Bar Association for the years 2012-2013 and served as the Executive Counsel for ten years. He is a member of the Board of Governors of the Maryland State Bar Association.

Mr. Lazzaro is a member of the American, Maryland State and Baltimore County Bar Association as well as Maryland Association for Justice and Maryland Criminal Defense Attorneys Association. He is admitted to all Maryland Trial and Appellant Courts, the United States District Court, Tax Court and United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Lazzaro has the highest rating AV5.0 by Martindale Hubble and was named Super Lawyer by Baltimore Magazine in the years 2008 through 2012. He is recognized in the publication Who’s Who in American Law. (1975 – Present).

Mr. Lazzaro has served on and chaired numerous committees of the Baltimore County Bar Association. He has served as faculty member of the MICPEL Nine Day Trial Advocacy Course from 2000 through 2004. He has given numerous lectures on family law related topics as well as criminal law matters.
